Motorcycle Riding, Together at Last!

David helped me out by riding Viv across town over to the Chattanooga State Community College parking lot that I’d learned in during my motorcycle safety course.  I followed over in my truck. The one thing I hadn’t counted on was, oh yeah, there’s going to be students parked in the parking lot during the weekday!!  Ugh!!

David and I went over the bike.  I got on to try her out, take some laps of the parking lot.  Ahhh, me and Vivie out on our first test ride together!!  Together at last!  Super pleased!!  The bike feels good, comfortable, the right size, the right amount of power. I think this is gonna be fun!!

Stretch:  Transferring over what I’ve already learned onto a new bike, and in a parking lot that had vehicles in it, rather than being empty.

Lessons:  All that matters is that you’re taking a manageable sized bite, that you’re not trying to stretch yourself too far, too fast, but just by a manageable sized increment.  I already knew the parking lot from my motorcycle safety class, I knew how the bike worked.  All that I changed up was the actual motorcycle, one that was very similar in size and horsepower to the one I’d learned on.
