Motorcycle Riding, The Upside

There’s no sense stressing the life out of yourself, nudging your comfort zone out in the biggest push yet, if you’re not going to turn it into an epic adventure!!  No sense riding into the hills and not indulging in a big, tasty breakfast or searching around to find a raging waterfall!

I had such an amazing day playing through all the curves that the hills of Georgia had on offer.  It was just straight up… GIGGLES!!!

I took a little bit of downtime back at my place to get warm and breathe for a few, before I made yet another anxiety-producing ride over for dinner with shooting friends in the darling little mountain town of Blue Ridge, Georgia.

It wasn’t the ride over that was throwing me.  It was the trip back, my first long ride on a dark, moonless night, rain intermittently sprinkling over my visor, while frantically search for my high light beams button – thank heavens for the friend who did a quickie internet search of my bike to help me figure out where in the world it was located, while talking me in over my headset.  I have to be honest, after a long day, I was worn and a little more than freaked out!  I finally touched down shivering, totally wiped, looking much worse for wear, but, still…

Euphoric!!!

That’s the upside of progressively nudging out your competence – your confidence comes along for the ride as well!!  And, then…  ohhhhh, the adventures you will have!!!
